| Thats a very good idea Alfie, I have been thinking about doing the same to mine. There is very little room for error with them as standard & do that is a very good idea. | |

| Cheers Dave,it is well worth doing I got hold of an old gate post 3" angle iron, well enough for the job and as I said it makes you more comfortable leaving it up for periods of time, without worrying. | |

| Cut a peice of the rubber that sits in the middle,it was doing nothing and saved me more money,(times are hard).Yes Joe I welded it on,and believe me it wont come off without an angle grinder. | |

| I will definitely do that mod as soon as I pick up another welder, mine died a while back but as you say times are hard and I like a bargain. The problem is that the bargains don't seem to come up when you feel cash rich enough to spend. | |

| Just incase you did not understand what I ment here is the finished product. The part were the rubber is missing does not need it,for there is nothing to be supported under that part. | |

| Excellent job Alfie, That extra few inches will make a massive difference. It annoys me making sure the thing is under it right before lifting. | |

| Looking good, those lifts are great but a bit to skinny for comfort on the cruiser so I can see why you guys are modifying them | |

| Excellent job done Brian, looks the business mate. I will do mine when I get the time but to be honest it has almost become redundant since I made the wood lift, which I use all the time. | |

I was using the wood one as well, works great. These are on special at one of our Car Accessory places for $99, thats about 60 Pound, to good to pass up. The heavy gal channel pieces and longer bolts cost me another 10 Pound. ATV lifts rated at 680kgs. | |
