Just had a new front fitted, Bridgestone Exedra. As I don't push the Intruder to anywhere near it's limits, I just put on what the dealer had.

Anybody know of better tyres? Tyres M800 636111

A good deal is probably as good as any recommendation - we are not talking about high performance sports bikes here. I did the same as you - dealer had Pirrelli Route rear for a good price, so that's what I had. I did find fitting costs varied quite a bit. Front is a bit more straight forward but rear needs shaft disconnecting.

How many miles did you get from the front?
What pressure are you running the new tyre?

That's pretty good mileage - I'd be happy with that. Yup 29 is what the book says. I've gone up to
32 and handling seems a bit more sure footed, mind you I push the bike a bit sometimes - I get carried away when I'm in a good mood Very Happy

Yeah it makes a big difference in handling by going up a couple of psi

Try 38 in the rear as well if you are riding a lower pressure you may notice a big difference

Yeah I'll second that - since The Intruder went :aghh: when he knew I was running my back tyre in the low 30's I upped to 38 and wahey my cornering improved a lot. The tyres all have the psi max on the side - can't see a problem if you keep within unless of course the ride gets a bit bumpy. I find that the fat tyres and plush seat soften things up anyway - a bit like riding a Tyres M800 641964
so harder tyres should not be too much of an issue.

Never ask that when you have just bought one, ask that when your money is still in your pocket or you can bet a pound to a pinch of sh*t that someone will say something you don't want to hear. Laughing

Taking your pressure up from 36-38 & 29 -32 doesn't seem like a lot until you remember that we are talking about pounds per square inch

Just got 150 miles on my first cruiser - M800. Felt the front was a bit vague and the back a little solid but thought that's maybe just the way these beasts handle. Gave the machine it's first wash to get to know it and checked the tyre pressures and found them to be 36psi front and 44psi back!!!

Knocked them down to 30/37 and what a difference - doesn't drop into corners like it did before and back end feels a bit more cushioned now. Feels great.

I think I'm going to like this cruiser lark.
