| Received the switches for the LED's I'm going to fit on the bike I'm going to wire them to the aux socket in the headlight so they're only live when the ignition is on, but this will give me the option to switch them off if the plod take a dim view. | |

| Sim a good place to fit them where nobody can see them is on the downward face of the side cover. I can easily turn my switches on or off while on the move that are fitted in that position. | |

Good thinking I'll be able to get to them if I pass a copper and his face says I'm having him!

Now that's a bloody clever idea, rather than using the double sided sticky".... Means you can adjust the position

| Very very nice. Is that just a strip on either side? | |

| Two strips either side Mal, Only short ones though, about 175mm each strip but they do them in all sorts of length, I got them for the fender mod but never used them so I thought I'd fit them under the tank instead, 300mm would probably be a good size for under the tank. | |

| Great... I've got 4 pieces each about 300mm. The ones I got are a VERY bluey-purple , so I don't want plod seeing the light source itself. Under the tank sounds good. Just have to think where I put the others (if at all). Wondered about the backside of the panniers as they're wired anyway.... | |

| Ok brain boxes, yiur suggestions please... If I carry on tapping into wires, my bike will look like a plate of spaghetti. So I'm thinking... 1. Disconnect accessory socket (satnav etc) from aux connector in headlamp and instead hardware into battery (I have an inline fuse). With hindsight it doesn't need to only be live when ignition is on. 2. Use aux headlamp connector to feed LED strips and include switch.... Already bought...[img] [/img] Problem is where to mount. I'd thought of the side panel near the ignition key, but don't really want to butcher it. Wondered about some kind of little splash proof housing velcrod to leather screen pocket I have... Any thoughts from you clever, creative, witty, mechanically minded folks? | |

| why not put it on the bottom of the side cover by your calf NOT the steering head stock cover as Sim & Dave have noted? | |

| Ah! That side cover. Yep, see what you mean, still don't like to butcher original panels.... Even though the switch is neat, I just think if ever I came to sell, a prospective buyer would think "has this been owned by a diy bodger?" But thanks for the suggestion... Might be my best bet | |

| I put mine on the right hand side panel about an Inch forward of the screw that secures it, Mines black though so it's not really noticeable, Same switch as your but mine has 3 connectors? | |

| Oooeer... Do you need 3? I just assumed you split the live wire with the two terminals and left the neutral alone. But then I don't know much about wiring.... | |

| https://www.suzuki800.com/t423-auxcillary-fuse-box-on-m50?highlight=auxcillary+fuse+boxHi Mal there are times you need to use the panels that are available,I always make my mods to suit myself, not a prospective buyer in the future, this is in no way a critisim on you,but enjoy your ride make it the way you want it.I have put my own auxcillary fuse panel in which takes one live feed of the battery and feeds six separate fuses.https://www.suzuki800.com/t423-auxcillary-fuse-box-on-m50?highlight=auxcillary+fuse+box | |
