| When I bought my bike I rode it home for about 75km, and decided the V&H´s were too loud for me. The exhaust came with the original wrapped baffle. First attempt at less noise was based on an idea from the internet, where you place a pipe with a few flutes cut into it, inside the original baffle. It did reduce noise, but was still too loud. Then I tried the classic "lollipop" baffles, but they were even louder than the pipes. So I went back to the pipe idea, and made some new ones, this time with a closed end and multiple holes drilled in the side. The holes where then bend in the direction of the flow. It reduced the noise a bit more over the first pipes, but still too loud. I then decided to make a set of end caps based on the idea from the hardcore quiet baffles. The end caps uses a bit bigger pipe to fit over the inside pipe, to force all the gasses through the inside tube. This gives a great sound when accelerating, much like the Harley sound, but quiet and pleasant when cruising. My only concern is that they may be a bit too restrictive. | |

| The main way in which exhaust's are restricted is within the header pipe. The muffler where the baffles are fitted is mostly just that, a muffler or sound changer. From what you have described in your post the power will not be really affected/restricted negatively at all. | |

| Excellent instructable , this shouldn,t restrict the bike too much and will give you back some back pressure that will help lower down the torque range, well engineered , regards Doc Cox | |
