Hi all am looking at some panniers on ebay but they are quite big 48.5 cm long and just wondering if my wife will manage to get her foot on the peg to get on, any help please thanks.. ebay no  320944864189

Looks really good. My advice is to go for as big as you can comfortably fit. (That's from a bloke on his third set of panniers in 5 years !)

Maybe think about retro fitting some kinda lock, or seeing if you could secure one of the buckles with a luggage lock (I use something like this....)

That way, you can leave waterproofs etc in there permanently without some Herbert helping himself Wink

Chris Rosie & I have a pair of 'mammoth panniers' on our VL & I can assure you they are very large but came at a very good price of £99- from Custom Cruisers at Alfreton near Derby, oh & you get a discount also if you ask!  pannier query 3498837457 
They have a zipped section for easy removal leaving the 'through over' laced together bit under the pillion seat. They do not get in the passenger's way either just sitting behind the legs nicely.
