| fancied some trainer style bike boots for a while, and found some on ebay, sold by Nick noble in Bradford. So went for a little ride over the m62 to Bradford to go and try them. Really nice quality leather, certified waterproof (take that with a pinch of salt), and exactly the style I was looking for. They'd been reduced by £25 on the ebay shop, from when I first watched them. Then he knocked a fiver off as I'd collected them. Good result! M62 was bloody horrible on the way back.... Absolute standstill, but other than that a great start to the weekend. | |

| I like those! I've got some very similar for nicer weather, they're great for walking around in when you get off the bike. | |

| To be honest, it was seeing your post a while back that started me looking for that type of thing. I've got big feet, wide feet, and feet that don't like a totally flat foot bed. So I can never really risk just buying blind off the web... | |

| Yes - I've looked at that style of boot a few times, but not yet found a pair I felt I liked enough to buy - but I will keep looking, as its only a matter of time before the right ones appear. On a separate note - re 'trainer' style footwear, I recently bought some Sketchers fitness shoes with 'shape-up' soles. These have a rounded heel and cause a 'roll' action (transversely & longitudinally) whilst you walk. Whilst they initially feel strange they are very comfortable & they do exercise muscles in your legs that don't get the same usage in ordinary footwear. The rounded heel has a good impact cushioning effect and seems to help smooth efficient walking. I initially wore them for a week, then went back to ordinary shoes - which made me feel 'flat-footed', but I realised I was walking 'better' in my original shoes/ I tend to wear the heel section of my shoes on the outside edge, but I seemed to be distributing my weight more proportionately over the heel of my shoes after walking with the 'Sketchers'. It seems early days, but I'm reasonably impressed with these shoes (Enough to get another pair if I wear these out). My friend Steve got some last year, but it took him a good while to get used to them. He got the more expensive type, which seems to have a more rigid sole, I went for the cheaper version which to me appeared to have a more flexible sole & I thought would be comfier. Doesn't seem right, us blokes talking shoes, boots & heels !!!!!
