Hi their,Any body had to replace there fuel pumps? im in the process of rebuilding
this 1987/88 vs750,just replaced the battery but no life in pump ?
put meter across lines got power,looked at pionts end, very black and burnt
no clicking, can not move piston up or down, solid so needs replacement !
between £26 to £13 on fleabay anbody had one ?

If it was locked rotor or windings burnt it should blow the fuse. I would file those points and soak it with pen-oil.

65,000 on mine & only time it let me sit was when a spider spun a web between those points while I was tent camping. It stopped before I got out of campground. Took me a half hour to fix with just OEM tools in bag.  vs750 fuel pump 586905

Hi thanks for your input,the pump was toast?the chap i got it from was a bit of a "IV GOT 2
AND THERE BETTER THAN YOURS"  plonker !!! i can fix anything   LOL
he had wired straight to the battery with a switch under the seat antitheft device ? NO FUSE !
guess he forgot to turn it off ?burnt the insde under the cap,FOOOOOOOOKED ! sized solid so
got a chinese one £10 free ship (best offer) Evilbay,brilliant got it running after 5 minutes + new fuel
wondered why it had full tank of putrid fuel ?? it had not run since 2010,now totally striped and getting ready for full rebuild,7 years sat outside NO COVER ! Mr rust has taken hold in places front mudgard the worst but nothing shot blaster wont sort out,now just what colour to paint it ?????     ANY IDEAS ???????????????????

Cheers Simbo,its already black well sort of ? black and rust !
iv looked on google at hundreds of vs 600/700/750/800 and they are all basic colours ?
because this is a total rebuild thought i might do something different ??????
metallic green/white stripe ? yellow ? cadbury purple ? hydro dip ? old school flames on tank ?
or HEAVY SAND 80 grit and lacquer ? metal flake ? candy ?
with it being a cruiser with that slower speed it needs a different look ? something that pops
? ill come up with something ?
