| I know some of you guys have fitted coloured LED's for accent lighting, and I'm fancying some. But the law seems a bit of a bugger re this... I think I'm right in saying:
- Any visible red lights must face rear
- Any visible white lights must face forward
- Blue lights are a no no, as it's seen as 'imitating' a police bike etc.
Here's Dave (Mr I's) post about getting pulled for this: Fitted White LED'S - LINK-So I'm thinking keep the light source very concealed, eg somwehere on frame to shine downwards I'm also thinking purple could look cool.... good with the chrome and the metallic blue bike. Found a 5m strip on Ebay for £10!!! LINK just need to check with them where it can be cut, as I think 5m might be overkill. (i think its something like every 3rd module or something) Any thoughts?

On where it can be cut? There's usually a reference point on the strip I thought? I could be completely wrong though. As for having them on your bike, As log as they're out of sight and just giving an ambient light over the engine/wheels or whatever I wouldn't have thought there'd be a problem. Agreed on the Purple Mal That would give a nice tone.

| I think your on to a good thing with the purple MAL it would look great. I am not sure how about wiring them though but I would have thought you would be better of buying a few shorter lengths. I have just searched and found another Mr Intruder link and it goes to another ebayer from his other thread Look here for the ebay link and ..HERE.. for Mr Intruders other link on this subject | |

| Hi Mal the long one you have indicated that you are interested in would be no good for this. Go for the shorter ones from the link above, I know that just having to wire them in once could be attractive for ease but it is simple to tap into the wires that are available & where necessary just running a longer wire that serves several LEDs is an option due to the very low voltage and power draw. | |
