Like some other members I wanted coloured LEDs under the tank, with an isolation switch in case plod got interested.

Couldn't bring myself to chop a hole in the side cover so made a little switch housing...

It started out as humble beginnings....

A scrap of black leather to cover it. Then cable tied it to handle bars.

Re routed the power to the accessory socket.... That's now permanent live from the battery... Handy for inflating tyres etc.

That frees up the power feed in the headlamp which is what feeds power to the switch, then to the LEDs.... Also added a couple of insulated spade connectors inline, behind the black plastic trim near the tank, so that the tank mounted lights can be unplugged for tank removal.

Very pleased with the colour....just on the purple side of blue, and not ridiculously bright. Photos don't really do em justice, but here you go.....

Looking good Mal, LEDs fitted (at long last!) 2170595768  Had a word with my next door neighbour who is a policeman about the blue lights and the info, he came back with was they are not illegal as long as they are not flashing or pulsing and do not cause a distraction, but as all you can see is the reflection on the bike this is no problem.

thanks everyone and cheers Nigel for checking that out with your neighbour.

Probably a good idea for me to disconnect the siren though....  LEDs fitted (at long last!) 3213823784
