| Hey guys, I've seen some add an oil Temp gauge but what about an Oil Pressure? Has anyone done this? if so could an electronic aftermarket one for a car work? | |

| I'm no expert but surely the crankcase ( if thats the right terminology ) or sump will not be under oil pressure ? I would of thought oil pressure would be measured at the oil pump outlet ( someone tell me if I'm talking bollocks ) | |

| according to the FSM "check the oil pressure in the following manner." o Remove the main oil gallery plug.
o lnstall the oil pressure gauge with adaptor in the position shown in the figure
So short of installing a fitting in the Main plug and running a line from there I think the only other option would be where the OEM sender is... same as you would do it in a car...

| An oil pressure gauge seems like work for the sake of work, could be wrong tho I spose | |

| Not really... I've installed them countless times in cars (Mechanical & Electrical).. It's a fairly simple job. Hardest part is finding a good spot to tap into. Found a nice spot, right under the oil filter there is a journal that's just plugged by a bolt. Remove that bolt and put the line in there.
I personally like the idea of having it.. a lot less work then having to check pressure when there's something wrong (FSM says to connect gauge to main oil drain plug hole costing you $$$ for new oil)
I'll be starting a new thread soon with some of the mods I'm doing along with pics so you can see. (just painted the front rim yesterday lol)
