Oil pressure gauge & test port

Hi all, recently finished the rebuild of my 1993 VS800.  Unfortunatley the bike was rewired a little due to a previous owners meltdown subsequently the warning light for temp & oil not wired anymore.  I was thinking of adding a mechanical oil pressure gauge & was wondering where the oil pressure test port is located exactly that I could plumb a gauge into & mount on the handlebars,  I'm less concerned about temp & I dont live in Calfornia or a big city so all my miles on the highway.  Any help is appreciated.  I was advised test port location is below the front cylinder head right hand sidse of the bike.  But there are two potential screw option, one facing out towards me & one facing towards the fan cage.  Which is it?
