| I have put a new set of Kuryakyn grips on the VL 800 and my throttle seems a little stiff like not going back when you release it or it does very slowly do i have to fiddle with the push and pull cable nuts under the tank to get it releasing freely any advice please. | |

| You may find that the barrel is tight in the housing on the new unit. I made sure I took all the burrs & flashing etc off mine before I clamped things up & even then did it again after a few turns of the grip to see if it was binding which yours obviously is. Go back & dismantle it & look for rubbing marks etc & I suggest a little light grease also while you are at it on the moving parts. | |

| I replaced the grips on my sons 50cc and found that when I pushed them on I pushed then on slightly to far and they were catching on the end of the bar itself as the old ones did not have a covered in end and the new ones had, I also think the new ones were a couple of mm shorter as well. | |

What he said must be catching somewhere. | |

| When I fitted heated grips last week the throttle would't return. I had to back off the screw in the bar end weight and that did the trick. Mind you it still gets tight when the hot grips are on. | |

| Wil it is usually either the bar end weight too tight, or bad fitting grip, try and ream the throttle grip to get any imperfections out of the plastic sleeve. but first try the bar end. | |

| I put a little WD 40 between the grip and the switchgear housing as mine was sticking there. Worked a treat and still does ! | |
