| This afternoon I replaced the original 15 tooth front sprocket on my Marauder with a 17 tooth one. Took it out for a short run and I'm happy to say it feels like a different bike. It still accelerates well and I can't say i have noticed any lack of bottom end grunt. The main reason I changed the sprocket was to reduce the stress on the engine when cruising at 70mph. Before changing the sprocket the engine would be revving like mad at 70mph, now it's much more relaxed and will make longer journeys even more pleasant than before.
Here is an interesting link you can have fun with Gearing Commander | |

| I think the increased sprocket size will be nthing but a bonus, due to the bikes gearing. Good move Sir. | |

| Well, I'm going to the 16 tooth sprocket, and any drop in rev's while cruising is welcomed.
