| On my 2010 model they have changed the airbox and filter (K&N as yet dont make a filter for 2010) so when I recieved my K&N Air Filter it didnt fit so this is what I did when I recieved the wrong one Because I had already taken off & apart the air box I thought sod it I will make it fit Rather than send it back and have to wait for another to arrive. However as it turns out the 2010 model has a slight difference and K&N don't make one yet! As you can see the original filter does not in any way resemble the K&N I received it’s a completely different shape and the actual filter itself is one fifth bigger. What I did notice was that the filter was the same width as the original filter but was bigger from top to bottom. So here we go again the trusty dremmell comes out to play & I start the conversion. I left the sides on the filter box but took out the top & bottom. Bloody hell I could not believe how thick the original filter was, it’s a thick as a donkey jacket. The engine must be gasping for air. As you can see I also removed the metal gauze from behind the donkey jacket & the snorkel not needed & reducing potential volume. This is what I ended up with; obviously I tided it up after the pic was taken! This is what I ended up with after the mod was complete, K&N fitted and sealed

| WOW! Well I have died and gone to heaven, you guys really don't let anything get in the way do you. That'll teach K&N to react so bloody slow in bringing out new stuff for bikes, about time they caught up really the bikes model changed two bloody years ago | |

| Does our bike get overlooked or what? I couldn't get a lambda sensor bypass from DynoJet for my Power Commander because they don't do them yet. Although they are looking into making one. My bikes 6 years old LOL. | |

| Just been nosing around on a Yankie M50 site and a guy there has just come up with a really clever modification with the new model bikes on how to add a K&N filter I nearly joined the site just so I could tell everyone that he ain't as clever as he thinks he is. I think its been done before mate I was shouting at the bloody computer The "Mr Intruder mod" has gone stateside | |
