| Ok, my Loom is in dire need of replacement.
I have, just bought one because Every time I fix the electrics on my bobber, I have to then fix the fixes that unfixed themselves every time I fix it???
Anyway, right now, I have a silly issue that ius getting to me, I think purely because it is so obvious, that I am simply not seeing it...
First off, my bike is VERY customized, and while I am in the process of getting it fixed properly, the idiot who did the original alterations, was a total tool who ruined it, sold it on to a guy who did even mnore rubbish, and then schmucko over here fell in love with it and now Im spending stupid money to fix it when I should have just dumped it.
Anyway... The electrics are disastrous, but ...
The HeadLamp is a twin light aftermarket jobbie, and with the switch on the right hand, I get OFF-SIDE-MAIN and the switch on the left side can change MAIN to HIGH or DIP.
That we good one yeah?
Ok, when I put this headlamp onto the bike myself, it was because the previous single headlight was simply not at all bright, I am now using an LED opne and while its better,m its still poor... I have tested the Volts and its giving only 5.4v - Thats an issue in itself of course and so if you have any clues to guide me on that, then cool, but for now...
Here is the iossue that I have somehow got myself into...
Lights off = Good.
Lights on, the REV Counter stops working?
Lights FULL and I cannot get DIPPED BEAM, but I can get HIGH and the FLASH works. Also, when the lights are off, if I flash, the REV counter stops until I let go.
This clearly means that there is a short, or that I have wired up the lights wrong.
The thing is, that I am using Different crimps, bullet, small and med, as well as spade in red and blue, and I have connecgted them to the same ones that they were connected to in the first place!!! - And that was done and has been working for a year or so, so why do this now?
Now, I have a wiring diagram, I also have a PDF of the manual, I have got these from various websites but the manual seems to be missing half of it, and the wiring diagram seems semi useable, but I simply cannot possibly work out the colours of the wiring because it is a JPG and the picture has artefacts and is simply unuseable... I dont know whether its supposed to be O or a G or a OY or a B or a... Well, the quality is simply useless.
Does anyone have anywhere that I can download a good quality diagram that is actually useable?
Or, can anyone actually just tell me what each colour is supposed to go to?
Please? | |

| Just noticed the year this was posted. Well, a day late and a dollar short. I hope you got your wiring squared away on you bike if you still have it.
