whats the best way of polishing engine cases ?, can this be DIY or does it need a professional

'Autosol' but unless you laquer them afterwards you will have to keep polishing them .

I think mine will need prepping before they are ready for Autosol, they are pretty rough

Wire wool will get them back up to scratch before polishing.
