Clunking noise from final drive

[size=38]Yesterday, I discovered, when I moved the Intruder out of the garage, a clunking sound which happens when wheeling the bike either forwards or backwards. I have noticed the clunking before when wheeling it backward but it's a lot noisier than it has been and now happens when moving the bike in both directions[/size]
[size=38]I'm sure it's coming from the drive shaft and suspect the UJ may be the culprit ( no evidence for that, just a gut feeling). I've mentioned to Sim previously that I've been experiencing a vibration through the bike, (seems more prevalent on the overrun) since I had the back wheel of to change the tyres last year. I wonder if the two are connected ? [/size]

Did you have new bearings in the back wheel Mick? Have you had it on a lift and rotated the back wheel? How's the clearance between the final drive and back wheel? I'm wondering if you've had new bearings and they're slightly thinner or pressed further in the wheel and the bolt heads on the final drive are just catching the wheel when it's rotated? Not much else I can think of without hearing the noise and getting a feel of what's occurring I'm afraid.

Cheers Sim ...... I did have new rear wheel bearings fitted but slightly after the tyres. The "vibration" that I've mentioned started before the rear bearings were fitted but no clunking at that point.
I haven't done anything with the bike at the moment but do intend to take the wheel off and inspect it. If I can find anything I'll let you know mate - thanks for the advice
