I've had a quote of £80 for both wheels to be powder coated gloss black.
Thing is, this includes the spokes, and I was hoping to have stainless spokes and the black rims.  Anyone know of somewhere that would fit the stainless after the powder coating, or do you think all black would look good?
This is an old pic of my bike, but shows the colour of it.

These guys did mine and im really pleased with the finish plus I had new ss spokes fitted at the same time. If you want black they do black spokes!

Not sure about the cost as they did all the pc on the bike but I had shopped around and these guys had a great price and great reviews.

Thank you.
Probably go with these guys, gloss black rims and stainless spokes.
Cost more than local, but local can only do black and do original spokes black.
I'm keeping this bike, and the heart wants what the heart wants.
It's eleven years old now, and starting to get attention when I park up, I think it's worth doing it up nice over the winter.  I'm thinking, wheels, brake overhaul with stainless braided hose, and maybe V&H Cruzers along with other ideas.

Do any of you guys know, off hand, what the torque settings are for replacing the front and rear wheels when I get to it?

You guys with older bikes, may find that your mudguard stay is quite rusty, hidden away as it is, out of sight.  I cleaned off all the flaky and loose rust off mine, and gave it a few coats of the biker's friend. Not pretty, but it's better protected now

Wheels look very spiffy! Always loved the "blacked out" look on cars and bikes

Quick photo ....
I'm pleased with the look, I think it is a nice understated change, especially if I do the 2" drop on the rear, and get a few more bits polished and gloss black.

just a quick one about the two inch drop mate I did it to mine and it was fine but with someone on the back the rear wheel does rub on the mudguard but only when going over bumps lol I do weigh about a 100 kilo though think Sim did it and it was fine I'm just a fat bastard   Powder coat wheels 852880 it is fine with just me on the bike

I'm just over 11 stone in a soaking wet German greatcoat and pockets full of change, so should be ok on my own, lots of bumps and such here in the valleys though, how about jacking the suspension up?
would that help?  does it just rub the tyre, or the wires under the rear mudguard?
