Hi all ,
Looking for a bit of advice , has anyone stripped the rear shock absorber unit .
I need to remove the spring as it is rusty on underside and want to have it powder coated .
I am thinking that the bottom mount will unscrew from shaft once I remove spring tension allowing spring removal.
Or I could be wrong !
Anyone attempted this before ?

Cheers ..

Find a safe way to compress the spring and you will probably find a locking nut at the end of the plunger shaft undo it and the mount should then unscrew allowing you to remove the spring. That's how I did it on my VZ800, just don't mimic my dodgy ratchet strap and angle iron spring compression rig, it made my bum squeek.
