| Tonight, sprayed all the chrome, controls, rims, spokes, engine fins, forks, underside, frame, pipes etc with 'Tightarse in a tin' (Tesco maintenance spray ! - I'm sure it's made by WD40) So I'm all ready to face the worst the winter can throw at my bike now. I will try not to ride in the wet (I'll save that for the HD which has been double sprayed!) but I'm sure I will still get the C800 spattered and what when the salt comes out I will need to hose down and reapply from time to time until Spring. Also when the temp freezes, my garage roof gets condensation inside so the covers have gone on to catch the drips. Hopefully when I wash off and polish up around April, my bike will look ok rather than like last year. I may invest in a leaf blower to dry the bike properly when it's not windy - I usually wash leather as well before putting away. Winter - bring it on baby!! | |

Nice bike the 650. Lots on here use the AC-50 which is claimed to give winter through protection. I'll see how I get on with my stuff and reapply as required. | |

| I now use the AC-50 after recommendation as a one can fits all, in the same way that I did for many years with the WD-40. Which I could never complain about as it did me well. I buy WD-40 by the gallon but before that I would buy the Tesco cheapo stuff as well & couldn't see that there was a difference | |
