Center Stand Lift For Suzuki VZ800

Have just ordered one of these http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=PDSCUS08 for £40 odd. Christmas pressie.

It looks good. I like the adjustable height and you can choose whether it is the front or back wheel that gets lifted depending on where you place it.

I have often looked at similar products, be interested to see how you like it. For that price it's gotta be worth a punt

Is the bike secure when it's on the stand, will you be able to work on the bike safely? Is there any danger of pushing or pulling it off the stand when undoing tight nuts or things like that?

I wouldn't attempt to undoing any tight nut or the like whilst on a stand without securing the bike with straps or something.

At that price you must be well chuffed you will have the cleanest wheels on the site now that you can lift her up on a whim

Probably put a breeze block or similar on the lever arm.

Used the stand last week to service the bike and, with the back wheel off the ground and front wheel down, I tied the front brake lever to the grip to apply the front brake. The bike was going nowhere; rock solid!

Provided it has rotated past center it should be quite secure (like any standard centerstand)

Obviously you would adjust it to ensure this. Seems to have a nice long lever - I'm guessing you can get your foot on that.

Yes. Use your foot or push down. It really does seem very secure and makes maintenance a breeze. It just isn't high enough allow the back wheel to come out from under the fender though.... answer = remove the fender (4 bolts).
