So need advise...can't get the trim plug on the shaft side out AND can't figure out how to get the cotter pin out of the axel nut. This is my first build so please have patience if my questions seem obvious.

Going of the schematic it's just a 'push fit' Try prying it out with a flat bladed instrument like a knife edge. Cotter pin, is it like this that needs bending straight at the two open ends before being removed from the o ring end? like this

Thanks I figured it out. I believe I was working off bad instructions. Found a vid and got it taken care of. Appreciate the help!
