Sorry for not writing on here recently but due to a bad accident at work I have been laid up and waiting for a couple of brain scans to get me back on the road. Before the accident I have been busy in making some windshield lowers, leather mudflaps, leather tassells on running boards and now finishing off a couple of leather projects now i'm feeling better. Those being leather fork covers and leather side stand cover. Will post pictures in the near future. As you can tell I love my leather, studs and tassels lol. Just need some pullback risers to give me a more comfortable ride and after some suggestions on make, size and prices. Ride safe everyone and I won't forget the photos. Dave.........

Sorry to hear about your acident mate, I hope you are well on the road to recovery.

For pullback risers you could use vz800 originals if you can get them. A lot of members on here have replaced their original m800/vz800 risers and may be willing to sell them to you if you ask around.

I look forward to seeing those photos

Hi Dave hope your back up to speed with your health soon buddy.

Have you worked out how much rise & pullback are you actually looking for?
For instance if you buy a 4" straight riser you will instantly get 3/4" pullback over the 2" stock riser. If you bought a 6" riser with 1" pullback, the result would return a 4" rise over bog standard with a 2.5" pullback.

Risers are bloody expensive so it would be well worth spending a little time making sure you get it right first time.
Hope this info will help a little Handlebar Risers 3498837457

Another option to consider would be ape hanger bars. A 10" mini ape would probably give you the flexibility of position you want at a fraction of the cost of a descent looking set of risers and it is a straight swap of bars with no cable issues even for the 12" apes on your 2002 model

Hi Dave sorry to hear about your accident get better soon mate.I have just fitted a set of VL bars to my m50 with standard risers and they have made my ride much more comfortable,if you can get the standard risers cheap anywere for the m800\m50 ie: ebay go for it,I would say I must of gained at least 3" to 4" pull back.

Many thanks for all your best wishes. Just hope they find a brain cell when i have my EEG and MRI scans lol. Will look in your replies and see which way to go. Would the cables be long enough on the Volusia if i went for the ape hangers or the larger risers. Thanks again. Dave.

I know you will be able to put 12" apes or 6" risers on your model without cable issues, I will try to find out the exact maximum if I get time.

Be good to see what you come up with, use the time off well or you will go mental sat indoors. Lots of modifications cost little or nothing.

Cheers Mr Intruder. Buying bits and pieces off ebay and making what i can myself. All looking and going well so far. Just need to get the all clear from consultant to ride so i can make sure everything is fitted right and works properly. Had two scans now with the results looking positive and got another Wednesday. Ride safe everyone. Dave.....

Miss riding my bike so much. Been 4 months now. Might have to get a test pilot to take my bike out if i don't get the right results from my scan to see if everything is set up right. So any 5 foot 11 inch bikers live near Soham in Cambridgeshire who is prepared to take my bike out if needed?. Bacon sandwich and unlimited tea in payment. Started making stickers and graphics for a part time job if i can't get back lorry driving licence back. So if anyone wants any wallart or stickers for there bikes let me know. Dave.
