Hi here is a cheap way of getting highway pegs.Take the rear pegs off,and mount them them on your crash bars, they work perfectly well, and do the job. This is just a cheap alternative, and you can see if you like the idea,or wish to go down this route.I could not get used to my legs being outstretched and found it uncomfortable, bearing in mind I only have a 28" inside leg.the good thing it did not cost me anything to try.

Good job Alfie Alfie's D-I-Y Highway Pegs, Suzuki M50 / M800 3498837457

Sadly I am like you and have only a 29" inside leg so that mod wouldn't work for this short arse either. My Highway pegs sit an inch behind the crash bars and works really well for me with my heel sat comfortably on the foot boards but that would be just a little to far for me.

Great little mod for the guys with normal legs though. Alfie's D-I-Y Highway Pegs, Suzuki M50 / M800 852880

Nice Job Alfie Alfie's D-I-Y Highway Pegs, Suzuki M50 / M800 2215087486 Great cheap mod as well Alfie's D-I-Y Highway Pegs, Suzuki M50 / M800 3498837457 I'm like Dave in the way I must sit on the bike ? because I went to Chester the other week and on the way back I just had my heels on the front of the foot boards and it felt comfy , that's what give me the Idea of fitting the pegs, for my toe's to rest on, But being a 32.5 inside leg I feel cramped after sitting in the normal position for to long and need to stretch my legs a bit.
I don't know it's me but your crash bars seem more forward than mine, plus they seem to have an extension piece behind the original foot hanger bracket to push them further forward ?

Very clever modification Alfie as usual, and well spotted with the crash bar extention simbo. I bet that would make the mod work for you by bringing that back inwards. they look really good in the folded up posotion as well

Brilliant points made here.
Alfie if the bars have the extension because they are not direct fit, maybe you could cut off an inch or so of that bottom bar and re-drill them and re-fit. Then you could have the pegs and be all comfy and look as cool as a cucumber riding down the road, like a proper outlaw. Alfie's D-I-Y Highway Pegs, Suzuki M50 / M800 3498837457

Cheers for the comments guys, this is the only way the crash bars will fit unfortunately,I am not 100% sure they are for my bike, the extentions came with the bars in order for them to fit.One thing in their favour is the fact that are 40mm and well capeable to support the engine in the case of a spill.I will have to go back to the drawing board and check out what can be done to them (if anything can),I can always make brackets to hang off them to bring the highway bars back, something to think about for winter.
