| Your bike has always looked ace John but that black respray makes her look proper outlaw. Love your mirror, I would like some under slung ones to go with my ape hangers. | |

| awesome, I love blacked out bits a lot more than masses of chrome. Did you use anything in particular to paint it, I'm thinking of doing a few parts of mine in black. I have seen another member here recommend PlastiDip, is that what you used? | |

Bunso , I have two "satin" black strategies , both are from a local paint manufacturer , Plascon. One is a product called 'Velvaglo' , which is a self-crosslinking polyurethane enamel , never intended for automotive application ! It's turpentine reduced , sprays beautifully as it's self-leveling and thixotropic! Once cured it's pretty tough stuff , only very strong solvent can dent it, it resists petrol beautifully. The other one , I used here, is a rattle-can , it's old-school 'Duco' , which is nitrocellulose based. The trick to share is leave the rattle can in the sun to really warm it up , it helps the lay immensely. The great thing about Duco is it is so easy to repair , just don't get brake fluid on it , it weathers well but it's not locked up like modern 2K product. | |

| I normally have to put my rattle cans on the radiator before spraying anything. | |
