| I had a little play with a Stanley knife and some acid etched window film I had left over from a job at work, I've just used the Intruder logo for now but intend getting some more designs off the net, Then I'll get Jo to do it with a craft knife because she's more artistic than me and has a steady hand, It gives a good effect on the screen though I think ?. | |

| The film I'm using at the moment is the none adhesive window film, It's used for frosting windows so people can't see through them or to stop glare from the sunlight, It's also used for putting patterns/signs on glass doors to stop people walking into them, As I said this is the none adhesive film, Its applied using soapy water to get it in position and a squeegee to remove the water from behind it, It stays in position indoors but not for exterior use, Once we've mastered the craft knife and stencils I'll use the adhesive type ie fablon or similar, The adhesive type is applied in the same way with soapy water and squeegee but once it dries doesn't come off easily. | |

| You might need a bit of that film over the speedo Sim when you get that HD camera of yours going. You can see the speed through it but it might not show on the movie. Sort of blurrs the evidence if you know what I mean. | |

| Know what you mean John I did a video on Saturday on the SV and had the camera pointing straight ahead (first attempt) all I had on video when I returned was a direct shot of the speedo and the floor for 45 mins, And I'd switched it on before mounting the bike so full reg in view Video deleted lol check where camera is pointing next time | |

| Yes it's something to bear in mind when making a bike movie. Apparently if you are stopped for posssible speed infringement and it is noticed that you have an on board camera, it is permissable in law to seize it to use as evidence. Probably an unlikely scenario but no one would want to aid their own conviction, I'm sure. You Tube is full of movies of bikes blatantly breaking speed limits. A movie which does not show the mph is probably a much safer idea in case one 'accidentally' strays over the limit. A side mounted camera, although not giving such a good viewpoint is probably more sensible. Of course the other side of the coin is when a third party is captured driving dangerously on your film - video evidence is permissable to support a claim, I believe. I think one can worry too much about things but when you really think about videos on bikes carefully you begin to realise there is more to it than just making a technically good recording. | |

| Very good points here that I have never really given to much thought too, especially if posting to youtube. All it takes is some good citizen doing there civic duty pointing you out to the and you could end up in the . | |

| Yeah Martin, She's diverted her attention at the moment to doing horse names for people at the farm I must get her back on track though because I tend to shake like a shitting dog when I'm doing anything needing a steady hand | |
