| I must be getting old cos my clutch hand has started hurting after a while. I have relatively short fingers and even with the clutch adjusted as slack as possible it is a stretch. I have been searching for an adjustable lever but so far have only found ones that fit bikes with hydraulic clutches and not the cable as on my M800. So if any of you guyz have any knowledge of an alternative fitting please let me know. | |

| A quick search I did... had nothing for cable operated clutch. Good luck, maybe somebody will find something. | |

| I don't think you'll find one mate. A lever operating a cable relies on you having the full travel of the lever to operate the item on the other end of the cable, in this case the clutch. If you start to restrict the travel of the lever then surely that will affect the operation of the clutch itself? I'm not entirely sure about that but I think that's what logic would dictate in my opinion | |

| Just a bit of lateral thinking.... is the clutch cable all working nice and free, or is it stiff? Maybe you could check it for lubrication......or buy gloves with finger extensions | |

Very good point, that can make a world of difference. It can often be only when a new cble is fitted that you realise that the old one was stiff because of how easily it suddenly operates.

| Also check the 'angle of rotation' if that makes sense..... I recently slackened my brake lever mounting bolts to remove an accessory mounted there. In messing with it, it had rolled forward a little, but I didnt realise. Today when I used the bike, the brake lever was more of a reach, so I need to roll it back.
So maybe by slackening the bolts, and rolling the clutch lever assembly closer to you, that would help...
