| My 08 Suzuki M50 is completely stock, but I have modifications planned. I usually go in "phases" due to funds and mainly the wife. If I install a K&N filter will it require rejetting the carb? Next mod is the exhaust where I know I'll have to rejet or a processor. A second but related question is; is there a benefit getting a processor rather than rejetting the carb? Does the processor increase HP or MPG over rejetting? | |

| I assume we are talking the M50 K8. If so I have the same model (M800 K8 in the UK) and have just completed similar mods. The bike is fuel injected so rejetting isn't required and the advice I was given by those who know on here was this. If replacing the airfilter with a K&N and keeping the stock exhaust then there is no need to upgrade the fuel processor. If you want to replace both the airfilter and the exhaust then you need to upgrade the fuel processor.
In my case I have fitted a K&N filter and have a Roadhouse 65 special exhaust running with a Cobra Fi2000R fuel processor. | |

| Hi Scotteads I have the 2007 M50 with v&h cruisers and Cobra Fi2000 efi tuner/fuel processor as Ian 800 has stated are bikes are fuel injected so no need to worry about carbs. You will certainly feel the difference with these two simple mods, which are in no way hard to do yourself. One good tip is when you do decide to fit new exaust system, take your air filter right off to give you yourself max space to work with, this will make the job much easier. | |
