Sheepskin seat cover

Anybody got one? Had a cover on a previous bike and it was brilliant. Custom fitted ones seem thin on the ground and so expensive. Thinking of getting an whole rug and trimming it and tying it on. Any thoughts?

Trimming a rug would definitely be a good possibility, with no down side. Well except the wife might moan.   
My mate has a sheep skin seat cover and he never rides without it, must ask him why as it's got to be good.

Looking for ways to attach the whole pelt. If I get one I might not bother with the seat cowl but just attach the rug over both seats in one.

Back in the 80s I had a sheep skin I put on My 900 Kawa. It was fantastic. It really helped with the heat. Of course that isn't as big a problem for you guy's. I have a black fleece bathroom rug that just fits over both seats. It has a rubber back so it stays in place. I bought it one day when I was riding Back from Lubbock Texas. Left upper leg was getting hot. It helps a lot when riding at 100 degrees or more.

They do look good on the right type of bike
