| Evening Gents.
After looking at Sanso' wheels, was wondering if you can polish back the alloys on the C800C? Have looked on you tube and seen some examples of how too's. TBH the work needed to be put in seems masive. Could you get a chrome finish? And what would the up keep be like. Can it even be done. As always I welcome all your advice and views. Ty chaps.

| Good evening Arron, From past memory of doing things like this I'd say that polishing the wheels to a smooth shiny surface would be a lot of work to say the least, Apart from the rim that meets the tyre, They're usually rough cast alloy, That would mean sanding the whole wheel smooth with wet n dry going finer with each sand before you could even think about polishing them to a good finish, Then you'd have to lacquer them to maintain a polished finish, which in itself reduces the shine of the metal, Getting them Chromed would be an option? But that would be in the upper hundreds of Pounds I'd have thought? Cheaper than the cost of Custom wheels like Sanos's though, Unless you can find some second hand. ps. I've got some well maintained spoked chrome rims (very shiny) on my bike I'd be willing to swap? | |

| I think if you look through his (Sanos) posts where he showed it all off, he does mention.
But they were in excess of thousand pounds or something stupid.?

| yup...crazy prices...and in most instances it would only be front wheel as getting one for drum brake is even harder.
Shame really... it's a niche someone could easily exploit and make money.

| Yeah...a bit of CAD software and I'd be on my way.
I'm not so sure though I'd decide to do that for anyone but me. With decals, speedos, paint jobs etc, you're not really affecting the ride. Imagine if I designed a wheel that wouldn't be structurally sound (bad angles, thickness etc) and would break under someone doing 90mph. It would be nerve wrecking.
Unless I stuck to "thick" lines...that could work.
