| I'm sure this ones already been done, but I'll chuck it in anyway. I'd looked at where the oil filter was located & thought it may be a bit of a pain to get to, so I picked one of these up Oil Filter Removal Tool. Delivered in a day & well worth the money, just slot a 3/8" ratchet in the end & Bobs yer proverbial !! | |

| This ones been done to death Dave! Seriously though, it'll pay for itself over time by using the plain HiFlo filter instead of the more expensive K&N filter with the 'nut' on the end, I have the 'strap on' type personally (should I say 'strap on' with Justin around?) which does the same job essentially, always good to have different filter removal methods in the garage all the same | |

| Yes Dave ... this has been mentioned a few times - I use the same pressed metal socket myself for that job, but many prefer the K&N type with a nut welded on ....all does the same job really & I'm not going to mention the 'pros & cons' again.
There are other ways, such as the 'strap on', or the various types of 'auto clamping' tools - but the advantage of the pressed socket, or welded nut is that you can use it to properly fit the filter to the torque quoted by Suzuki .... this was a revelation when I first did my VX as it was tighter than I would have traditionally fit it 'by hand' + a bit ! | |
