New Project

Just bought this from a friend. I'm going to fix it this winter(I hope).



A drunk, unexperienced driver with no license went off-road with it.

Front end and rear wheel has taken most of the beating and all farings are damaged.
No damage at all at the frame.

Ouch! I'd never thought of a Busa as an off roader    good project to have though

If the engine and frame has no damage, (it seems to me from 2001 maybe 2002 without top speed limited) it's a really good project to go ahead to change it to a custom muscle bike .
Power, speed, engine, parts&accessories, you have it all in one package.

It's a 1999 so it got no restrictions  

I've already bought another bike(without engine) from Germany, just waiting for it to arrive and then the fun can begin.

Dismantle, clean everything and put it back together.

Looks a good base & as you say you've got another coming to make a good one up it sounds like an ideal autumn/winter project!

(I think that you know it but just in case) be careful with the subframe from the 1999's Busa.
They broke easy near the attach screws with the master frame.
It must be replaced or reinforced in case you think of keep it.

Wednesday evening I went to Germany to pick up my spareparts. It's a 01 without engine and harness.



As the old fork was twisted I had to support the bike while removing it. Very rough stand but it worked

Engine has been started for the first time in 3 years, sounds nice without mufflers :-)

Looking good so far, cant wait to see it finished
