| Had a little ride out today and while the roads were mainly dry, one or to wet patches caught me out with a little slip here and there - nothing too momentous but enough to focus the attention! Any advice on decent wet weather tyres? I've currently got factory fitted IRC Grand High Speeds front and rear, plenty of tread with 6000 miles on. | |

| Yeh they are ok in the dry but not so in the wet as they are a bit hard. Mine have plenty of tread on but then again I swapped my wheels to alloys. If you need to do a lot of wet riding get some other makes John & I'm sure the guy's will send you some idea's to try. | |

| Just my opinion, 1st choice, Avon Cobra/Venom, 2nd choice, Metzeler ME 888 Marathon Ultra, both good tyre's but the Avon's being a slightly softer compound will probably be better in cold damp riding. | |

| Avon Venoms on mine John, front & rear.
Good in both wet and dry and not ridiculously expensive | |

| Cheers guys - Not to bothered about price (within reason) More concerned with my nerves and bones. As some of you will find out in years to come - the older you get the longer it takes to mend. I'll get onto it this week. | |
