| Thanks. I need to hit it with silicone spray to increase the shine. | |

| With fiberglass? I thought that stuff is used to fabricate parts. Can you unwrap it or does it harden?
Looks good. | |

| Fiberglass itself is not hard. It's a fibrous material. In it's natural state it's used to insulate buildings. When mixed with resins it hardens and is used to make all sorts of things. In this instance it is woven like carbon fiber but not mixed with any resin so it remains soft and pliable. It doesn't harden and can be removed at any time. It insulates the pipes which keeps the exhaust gases hot and moving quickly but also keeps the exhaust much cooler to the touch so no burns. | |

| Here's a close up picture of the wrap. Once I spray it down with black silicone spray it'll be a more uniform and darker, shinier black. Sort of like a wet black look. | |

| That looks excellent, much better than before. I keep saying this and I got a feeling I better get used to it but your bike looks better every week. | |

| Looks great. Glad to know that wrapping isn't a hard job. How much wrap did you end up using? | |

| I used around 35-40 feet. I'd say go with a 50 foot roll to be safe. That's what i did. | |

| Powder coating the wheels, triple trees, the headlight bucket (but not the trim ring, leaving that chrome so it matches the look of the speedo), and the chain guard gloss black. Also moving from a 48t rear sprocket to a 46t before the Nashville bike trip on Aug 1st. | |

| Jambo, how easy/hard was it to put the wrap on whilst the pipes were still on the bike? I've got a 20 metre carbon gold magmawrap roll. I think that's about 60 feet. 2inch wide. I don't really want to take the pipes off again if I don't have to. | |

| Fat Intruder, there is no way in hell i'll keep to the speed limit. I've had the bike up to 103mph but with the 17t front and 46t rear I think I can get the bike over 112mph. Whatever the bike's top speed is I'll find out on the way to Nashville. Bunso, the pipes were VERY easy for me to wrap without taking off the exhaust. I did have to remove the mounting bolts at the rear of the exhaust in order to manipulate the pipes so I had enough room to wrap in a couple of places. Depending upon your bike you may or may not have to do that. But yeah, I was suprised at how easy and pain free it was to do this job. I wraped the wraps dry. I didn't soak them in water like some instructions advise. I just unrolled and started wrapping. Easy peasy. | |
