removing sticky residue from screen <a href=removing sticky residue from screen Screen_zps9ee59a78" />

Hi guys

I want to remove this label from my screen, but it is going to leave a load of sticky residue, anyone got any ideas how I can get the residue off without scratching the screen, any ideas will be gratefully accepted

Andy

Hi Andy, there is a previous post on this subject and the consensus is to heat the sticker with a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive then roll with your thumb gently picking as necessary.. I always use WD 40 to remove the sticky residue and it works fine. Others use petrol which seems to be quicker.

Search the forum for Stickers ( how to remove them )

removing sticky residue from screen 428386  removing sticky residue from screen 2215087486 This stuff is pretty good too, I've used it on numerous occasions where the smell of the other two recommendations might be a problem? Just in case we have a few Doctors,Teachers, Office workers and the like as members who like to work on their bikes while at work?

Ronsons Lighter Fluid  - cheaper than Zippo lighter fluid.  It's a solvent so it dissolves the adhesive

I always use a a hair dryer first and if there is any glue residue left I soak it with wd40 for ten minutes & wipe off. Never let me down yet from probably hundreds of tries.
