Love that sissy bar bag and saddlebags though, how much did they set you back? Hey mate, sorry about the delay in replying ....... The panniers were on the bike when I got it. They're GIVI E34 cruiser panniers with the GIVI mounting kit but, and I've not really seen then anywhere else like this, they have a gloss finish to the lids. The rear box was bought from City of Leather in London from their stand at the NEC bike show 4 years ago - £75 when I bought it but they're £99.99 now http://www.cityofleather.com/accessories/saddle-bags/double-helmet-leather-bags.html

| Looks amazing Mick, not sure if the word "pretty" is apt but certainly eye catching and unique. | |

| I know the look of these bat wings is a bit of a marmite job, but I'm tempted.... As well as the protection, it just gives far more options to mount satnavs, clocks and various bits and pieces.
Did you make brackets from scratch Mick? Tricky?
I've seen this on eBay - I know it's off a Harley, but surely could be modded.....

| Thanks Gary .... lots done to it since this post, trimmed all the inside of it in leather fabric, added the dash and some edge trim. Looks a bit better for it I must say | |

http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/172044827907 Mal, I used some brackets from one of my old screens and fabricated some bits to make them fit. Its been a labour of love, gone on for a while before I've finally got it right. The one you posted .. that's definitely not the same as mine. As far as I'm aware, original Harley factory fitted batwings generally come with inner fairings ( c/w holes for clocks etc ). The problem with that is that the inners fit to the frame via big brackets, then the outer is attached to the inner. Mine wasn't like that, it was just an outer shell. If that's what the one on eBay is then I'm sure you could make it fit to yours, maybe using your old screen brackets like I did. If it has an inner, the job would be completely different to mine. Best thing is to have a look at the pictures I posted earlier on this thread as I progressed with the project or, next time we meet up, you can have a look and we can chat about how I did mine.

| I think I'm going to give the fairing on eBay a miss. There's no brackets and it's not clear where it mounts, so it might not be the bargain it seems, even though it's only at £62 with 15 minutes to go!!
Seen this on eBay though....... Is this more like yours Mick??

| That looks good Mal, Micks is more rounded and I don't think it came with a screen? that's why he cut an old screen up. | |
