fitting vance and hines pipes help!

I recieved my vance and hines pipes for my volusia, however a few bits hve me really confused! I'm new to all this so bare with me! Haha
Its a 55 plate and have fount the oxy sensor zip tied up and a cobra fi 2ooo fitted,The new pipes obviously dont have the boss there for it, is it going to run like a turd?haha
Also the new pipes have the heatshield covers but not the clips to secure them, do i reuse thenold ones or is it something im missing?

Hi Matt, Is the actual CO2 sensor attached to the wire or is it just the wiring plug? Either way, My suggestion would be to remove it if it is the sensor tied to the frame, that will make the FI warning light up, then remove the right hand side panel and cut and put some tape over the ends of the wire going to port 23 on the ECU, this will then disable the light and the reading of the sensor, which will then give the full fueling management to the Cobra processor you already have fitted, If you watch this video it'll give you a good idea of what I'm talking about.

Yea it is still there ziptied to the frame, if i havemt got the fi warning light does that mean its ok? Thanks for the reply really appreciate it!

If it ran fine before? it should still run fine after fitting the V&H's, You might have to tweak the Cobra Processor a little to get it spot on?, My guess would be it's had aftermarket pipes before and it was already set up for those, Read this on the Cobra FI2000 for more info.

You might need to change the rear bracket holding the exhaust up as it is different,that should be with the fittings,easy job to do.As for the oxy sensor people just zip them out of the way to save medling with the ECU.

Which V&H Pipes are they?

Yea i know that the guy had some pipes fitted before but found them too loud so put back to standard, will have to experiment. ..this is my first ever bike and only sitting the cbt saturday and all going well will pass mod2 early feb ready for me to use it! Really really looking forward to it!

You can always get baffles made up or buy them,stock pipes are not the most attractive.

I have V&H Cruzers, I love them. Sometimes I run them as they come, other times I run them with additional quiet baffles fitted.

so they come with baffles? that you have in or out but if you want the quite baffles you have to order them separately?   is there a big difference between normal baffles and the quiet baffles?

Yes, They're like a secondary baffle, very effective too

If you disconnect the co2 sensor I believe you can fit a co2 eliminator plug to the ECU. If this is  incorrect I hope someone will advise otherwise.

Baffles out if ya got V&H's. Enjoy the noise!

Invest in a good set of ear plugs too not some cheap s**t, you're gonna need 'em! 

think standard baffles in will be fine for me should be plenty loud enough especially when accelerating through the gears just wont mine to sound like a cruiser not paralyse baby's  or give old men, women or granddad's  hart attacks

I am sure the standard way V&H Cruisers will be great for you Morgan.
I bought the extra quiet baffles because of my the early starts in summer.
