| very hard to see the level thru that little slot on the c800 ,really low down and hidden under the panel, so is it worth making the sight hole larger and wider, since it is only chromed plastic ,easily trimmed with a stanley blade ,to open it up.. and then seal edges with clear enamel so it wont delaminate...... | |

| I wouldn't personally as there's fuses and relays in there, Making the hole bigger might allow water in if riding in the rain? | |

| @simbo thanx for telling me about relays etc.... im still trying to work my way round the bike ,and keep finding diferent things to get me head round ,how do you manage to check on your level ....i was on my hands and knees trying to see it ,ended up using torchlight to check my level,...i presume the level is checked off its sidestand and in its upright position ,meaning you need a 2nd person to keep bike upright.. at least the engine oil is easily viewed... im busy looking for tyre pressures ,and are wheels tubed bcause of the spoked wheels , and things i can add like 12v accessory plug for charging battery, and been looking at oxford cruiser heated grips.,etc etc ... | |

| I used to take the dummy engine cover off mine to check it, I only checked it once or twice per year though, Tyre pressure's are 29 front 36 rear and yes they have tubes if they've got spoked wheels | |

Get yourself a bikelift - even if you have a handy mate to hold your bike, you'll find that it only needs to be slightly off centre to give a false oil reading. This is the one I use - they do smaller bed versions, but this one is bob-on. It's bed is wide enough for you to drop both wheels off at the same time | |
