Does any one know how much extra work would be involved if I used a complete 2006 vl 800 volusia engine and put it in my 2016 Vl800 intruder frame.

wire,senors ect.

Cylinder heads would need swapping over because they went to 2 spark plugs per cylinder in 2009, Gear position indicator, pre 2009 didn't have one so I'm not sure it'd have the wiring in the engine? although you can buy aftermarket gear position indicators which just plug in so I'm not sure? Personally I'd wait and search out a 2009 onwards engine.
