| Fitted my Fi2000 today a lot easier than I thought, the people in America on their forums were saying take the tank off, some saying just lift the tank.Well the unit goes nowere near the tank as pics show. In this image you can clearly see that it goes in the right hand side under the cover,no need for seat or tank to be touched. You have to attach three wires with scotch clips provided, and an earth lead. It does have a cover I took it off to show the controls to tune it if you need to. The good thing about this unit is the fact that all it does is dump more fuel in the injectors for you to stop you running lean, no need for maps or dyno and it stops me fiddeling around with it. | |

| Glad it was nice and easy but I am a little confused. Why does it have the three adjustment pots if they are not needed? Are you saying that you just fit it and don't need to do anything else no matter what setup you have? | |

| I am very intrigued by this as well, looks very simple to fit but is it actually fit and forget for all setup's? | |

| The three dials are for you tweek if need be,will not know until a few good rides. As far as I know the fitment of these units seems to vary, the ECU is on under the right hand cover behind the charcoal canister bracket also the data link connector. The instuctions state attach t-taps(scotch clips) to both grey/white & grey&black from ECU,then attach t-tap to the orange/white from the data link connector which is a white block with black rubber protecting it.Earth the unit and when connected up you have done it.It takes longer to read the instuctions.Your injector plugs are on the left hand side near the middle of your bike if you look up under your tank you will be able to see them, alls I can say is Cobra must have had some bad feedback over the fitment and changed it to make it easier.Basicly Dave the dials are 1 cruising issues,2 acceleration, 3 top end power, and ajustment for different types of air control. | |

| Just been reading up on them and the "FI2000TrI pot" is the cheapest one and comes preset for your model with an aftermarket exhaust. If however you add a high flow air filter you need to make adjustments yourself. I have found the one you need USA LINK at $199 hopefully Alfie will come back on this on but this may help in the meantime
If money was no object then this one USA LINK would be brilliant. | |

| Thats the one Dave works out at $200 then you pay the £28.11 vat before the post office deliver it.British customs held it for seven days before processing it,pain in the butt.As I said it was a dream to fit. I went out round Wales today and found I only needed to fiddle with one pot to stop the backfiring (small amount) on trailing throttle. It feels like it is a lot smoother,(might be the $200 making me think that) wont know for sure until I get a couple of good rides in, pretty busy out there today, riders and police. | |
